The Tithe Barn conversion was designed with full consideration for visitors who may have restricted mobility. Wide doorways and tiled level surfaces were used throughout the ground floor. There are two very shallow steps (each approximately 50mm / 2 inches) into the porch and also directly into the bedroom from the patio area, for which we can provide simple timber ramps for wheelchairs.
The ground floor bedroom is spacious and has a zip-link super-king bed which can be split into two full sized singles when required. The en-suite bathroom can be accessed by a wheelchair and has handrails in the shower and toilet areas.
We have prepared an Access Statement which gives more detail on all the critical features such as table heights, door widths, etc. Click this link to view: Access Statement

VisitEngland has rated The Tithe Barn under the National Accessible Scheme as “suitable for less mobile guests (M1)”
Moreover, a paraplegic guest (a full-time wheelchair user) has recorded the following positive review in March 2016:
“Every consideration is given to wheelchair user needs for accessibility and space. Ideal ground-floor bathroom facilities!”
